Hi guys! Thirteen years ago I decided to practice my English writing skills and meet new people so I subscribed to a pen friend group.
Everyone could choose four countries so as a good English student I chose England and USA but I also love history and I decided to choose Germany and Greece as well. I've never had a reply from England or the USA, the German boy seemed to be a strange one to keep in touch with but the Greek girl was awesome and the more we talked the more we got closer.
And that Greek girl is the reason I`m writing this blog now and the responsible for the fantastic moments I`m having. Her name is Evie, she`s 29 and she`s also became an English teacher. We first met each other in 2004 during 4 really cold winter days and now she's hosting me again but for 20 absolutely boiling summer days.
I'll try to share with you these days I'm spending here in Greece and also keep a record of this dream trip, my dream trip, my dream that's coming true!

ResponderExcluirI also had this experience of exchanging letters with a pen friend. I've written to an English girl for some time, but the Egypitian one was much more interesting and would reply me more often. We even got to the emails thing, but for some unknown reason we lost contact. But I will never forget my Egyptian penfriend, Marwa, with who I exchanged letters and emails for more than 6 years.
Unfortunately, we could never get to know each other personally. So, when I see Taís travelling half world to meet her penpal, it's like myself. It's not only HER dream, but a dream of us both.
